Disclaimer!

Firstly, HELLO!

I was inspired to create a blog by my housemate, a music journalism student. She's doing one of those annoying degrees where she is overly pedantic about all spelling, grammar and sentence structure of the work she does. It's commendable and she's fantastic at it but it is also why i am training to be a nurse and not a journalist. I must say however, that the academic training that works along side the practical side of becoming a nurse is great. Gone are the days when nurses are just there to do their job, be told what to do and not question anything. We are smart, intelligent and bright as well as caring and courageous people and our academic abilities should be encouraged and nurtured to their full potential.
This is where i break the news that my spelling, without the use of spell check and computerised intellect, often fails me as well as my sentence structure and all around academic writing skills.

I'm not completely sure what the content of this blog will be, i don't really want to just be another student nurse blog because to be honest, i will not do it justice. I will not keep up to date with posting and in comparison to some of the other student nurse blogs i have seen, mine will just not come even close. I also like other things, i like poetry, religions, cultures and travelling. I like to express what is on my mind and my posts will more than likely compose of those rather than the ins and outs of being a poor student. I'm sure Nurse related posts will crop up, but not frequently.

So here goes.......

PS - i started this whilst avidly procrastinating from research revision. I have an exam in just over 2 weeks and this module kills me.
